Genetic Analysis Center
The New York University Genetic Analysis Center (NYU GAC) is a facility that is dedicated to delivering high-quality DNA sequencing and genotyping services to the scientific community in a short turnaround time (24-48 hrs from receipt). The facility operates a 96-Well GeneAmp® PCR System 9700 and an ABI 3100 capillary sequencer that produces accurate, high quality reads of between 600-800 bp. The NYU GAC sequences purified PCR products, double stranded plasmid DNA, BAC's and Cosmids using BigDye® Terminator v3.1 Cycle Sequencing chemistry. For recommended purification procedures and required template preparation, please consult the Template Preparation Instructions. Researchers must fill out the Sequencing Submission Form and send it electronically to nyugac@nyu.edu, as well as print out a hard copy to be delivered with the samples to be sequenced. Template and primers can be dropped off at Brown 957, Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm or mailed to the address above. If the door is closed put samples and order form in an envelope and drop in mail box.
